so what is new?

well for the last 4 weeks i've worked for rogers publishing, (today's parent magazine); thanks to anna for landing me the job. anna moved to vancouver for journalism grad school; i sure will miss her--my very first friend in my first class at university. i will miss ALL the fun times we had. good luck annnnnnnananana!. so goooooood bye HMV. on the last day jimmy, jeremy, steve and i went to the superstore and dropped nearly $600 (taking advantage of my discount). music is good.

new class riot website is up, for promotion for the new album. we are recording now---for real this time. except avery left for school so now we need a new bassist.

suzie moved to ottawa for law grad school. i will miss her too; my second friend at university.

oh my july 31 birthday party was a blast; alot of friends came, and eventually i was too wasted to know who was and was not there. it turns out dan wasn't there; i think he was on some kind of camping trip.

summer was hot, summer was fun. i did alot, wish i could have done more and played more shows and hung out with more people. as joe [strummer] realizes, time is tight. there isnt enough time to do all you want.

jimmy and i finished (finally) re-editing requiem (circa 2001). i just transfered it to digital tape and we should have a dvd copy of it on our DIY label in a few weeks.

Ariel went to guelph. i drove her there. got a massive speeding ticket (fucking useless cops---go arrest some real crimina...oh wait, n/m), saw her dorm, saw her campus, and shared a teary goodbye. i'll miss her <3

asides from that, mom's gone to europe soon, my new job kicks fucking ass, i work with the nicest people on the planet, and life seems to be getting better.

i am officially 22 years old! wooohooo! now it's even more illegal for me to sleep with minors...hahahahahhahahahahahaha....

so i am trying to plan something--as it sits now dinner/drinks/chats at montanas beside silvercity in RH. cell is 647-225-9671, i dont know who is able to come, but i should be there between 9-midnight or so.

oh and i finally found a cure for my full-blown HMV; a new job. starting august 14, with the help of my dearest friend anna, i will be starting a new job with greater pay at rogers publishing.

JUNE 15 2006 CONVOCATION



So the day has finally come; i graduated today with my honours degree and two majors and what a day it was. i made a new friend but didn't get her contact. i ran into old friends, wished them the best and a happy future, and reassured them that we would meet again sometime, no doubt. my dad and mom (and her mom) came. the weather was terrific. the ceremony tent was fucking huge. i will miss school, but not right away. i am still considering graduate studies. but yippiee hahaha i am now a graduate; what a title. so much hard work. this is amazing because i never thought i could do this but it's so easy i could do it all again knowing what i know now. i am happy to have been able to achieve this much! *hats off* woooooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooo! matadors tonight, have to confirm i am on the guestlist. yayayayyayayayaaaaaaaaay

well i leave for camp today with some friends that i used to be in scouts with. should be fun! this week was crazy---i had a stye on my eye and i'm teething (wisdom teeth). also all my hours at work are cut down because the company is cheap, so i have to look for work elsewhere. i am applying for a fulltime position at the hmv in yorkdale. have a good weekend :)

so i had my last class EVER today!!!!! (unless i do grad studies) it was psych of death and dying; a bereaved parent came in and talked to us about the drowning of her daughter. morbid.

so i have two HUGE papers due tomorrow. one will get done. lol it sucks. but after i'm finished those, i'm FREE i'm FREE wings on thursday night! who wants to come?!? *looking your direction, jimmy*

so i got the new NOFX ep...it's pretty sweet. i also discovered that the deja vu at steeles and dufferin give you more money--i got $82 from them lol

st pat's day is this friday..wooo! not much else is new. trying to update/reconfigure the band website. thinking of planning an EP to go along with the new release. almost done writing 3 more songs (can you say stop??)

so i've finally been approved to graduate this spring..that's good news. now in the next 3 weeks i have 7 papers due, so yes, i will be dying lol. wish me lucK!

i'm REALLY LOVING the new lawrence arms record "oh calcutta!". it's like a perfect mix of the explosion meets none more black meets bombs over providence (RIP). got the new harry potter dvd today. excelllent....

so my grandfather died on friday, around 11:20 am or so. i am going to his funeral today, in a few hours. i sure will miss him. thanks for all your sympathies and comments :)

my dad called and said a letter he wrote to the editor of the toronto star was published in today's paper, so i am excited to read it. other than that i heard my grandfather is getting slightly better, which is a good sign.

school i killing me. even though i am on reading week.

my grandfather had a massive stroke today and is now in a coma. i hope he gets better. if he does die i hope it is painless.

hells yah, i know i'm the first one to say so, on january 16 2006! booya! so new years came and went. very exciting, very cold, very sad, very anxious-y, very drunk, very disgusted, very happy, very in love--with everyone so far! i love you all, thank you for being such an important part of my life!!!

anyhow so 2006 is here and school started immediately! exam the first day back! anyways my year is already busy and not so fun. i hope this will be a good year. i ran into jessica at the library at school and that was random. we played an interesting show on january 6.

i dont know what else to say.

holy snow! is it ever shitty outside! my comm take home exam is due in about 12 hours. i am sick again which sucks 'cause i play a show on saturday. if i'm sick then, i will take my own life......... to bed and rest for as long as i can. i made a HUGE ASS class riot banner today on a bedsheet i bought from VV. who the hell knows what happened on it...or to it... i should wash it...*shudders* i hope i dont have to go to work tomorrow; i mean, i am thinking of calling in sick. i feel bad for doing it but i've exhuasted myself to the point where i have no immune system. like a coke addict, or a smoker, or someone with AIDS. hahaha what if someone's last name was AIDS? "Hello, i'm mr. aids". i guess it's not that funny. sorry to all the 'rent' fans. shut up, that's why!

ok, so imagine you are a cop...

a failed cop, whose career hangs by a thread and you have one last chance to prove yourself to your department. so you finally catch up to a criminal you have been tracking but not obsessing over for some time. a chase ensues.

you chase the high-profile criminal through alleys, backyards, schools, malls, streets, etc. the criminal is far ahead of you but you can feel you are gaining on him. he runs into a house and out the back door. you enter the house and stop in the living room to get a sense of which way the criminal exited the house. you look around and you see a bunch of guys, sitting around a table, with at least $10 million worth of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana scattered around; hookers tied and chained to various pieces of furniture; laundered money in laundry baskets; and at least half a dozen computers full of child pornography. the men in the room stare at you, frozen. they point to the kitchen door and say, "he went that way". how many times could you say, "what the fuck?"

yeah so i got an ipod now...it's my new igod. damn. it's cool: 60 gigs, album covers. i can store 15,000 songs.... so yah i'm getting started...i already have about 1200 on it so far...much more to go...

oh my! summer ended so firkin fast! and school is back! geeze louise! so rachel left for western on sept 4. the band and i acquired a new bassist--adam; steve's friend. we played one show with him so far, on sept 9 at the kathedral. so on sept 8 i started my 4th year of univ, this is my school schedule:

is it just me, or is everyone having a really boring summer this year? half the people i talk to on msn claim they are constantly bored with the way summer is going. i had some fun here and there, but it seems to have been more depressing, more stressful, and more packed with anxiety than any previous summers. i feel like i've had to deal with alot of BS that i otherwise would not have to deal with if i didnt meet some of the people i've met this year. i dunno. it's weird. i feel like i have nothing to do, nowhere to go... just wait and countdown to the beginning of school.

summer is almost over--school is almost here. my bands' last show of the summer is tomorrow night (saturday) at the lions hall in richmond hill (106 centre street E) at 7pm. yah, we've hit a new low as we're opening for flatliners lol. ugh. oh well, it should be fun, and i expect to see many faces there, and hopefully the bodies that belong to those faces as well. har har har HAR!

well i'm 21 today...hip hip whoreay! i dont know what i'm doing, however, i am going to be downtown, where all the scary people go (as pam puts it), with some friends (hopefully) at a pub or restaurant (supposedly) drinking and eating (probably); so if y'all care to join or have nothing better to do which you probably doooo, call my cell 647 225 9671. if not, see you all in the future..MUAHAHAhhahahahahahahaha

so the last week and a bit was quite thrilling! lets seeee. i had the flu...exciting, huh? well i'm still sick with a head cold...my nose is still plugged up and a choke alot lol. but i'm getting better!

on monday july 4th (u.s. flag day) we had a last min-show--at the reverb opening for brat attack. first of all, i LOVE brat attack, so it was a fucking thrill to open for them...however, i was so sick, and couldnt sing right. oh well. Ariel was available for some reason at the last minute came a took pictures of us. Ariel is our extraordinarily cute photogal! i <3 her. so then on friday july 8 we played at the *world famous* el mocambo hahahahha. it was cool, we opened for the heatskores. we did pretty well and i was able to sing/perform alot better. although my glasses are still fucked--at the nofx show, tehy got kicked off my head and then stepped on LOL. good times. so ariel came to this show and took pics as well. also, andrew crawford invited us back to play with the heatskores this friday in richmond hill at the church again--we cant wait!!! LOL

on another note, summer is almost over! gah! i have to pick courses still--i mean, i registered in alot of them so i have to drops ones i dont think i would want to take LOL. i'm going to try to register into a poli sci course...maybe one about globalization... hmmmm.

did anyone see war of the world's or fantastic four?? i saw both on the weekend...yah they were okay....
